What FracturingHub Uses

FracturingHub is built around public oilfield research records, especially well and operator information that can be searched, filtered, saved, annotated, and exported inside a workspace. Repository documentation and product copy reference public Alberta well and operator records, including AER ST37-style well data and related public sources.

FracturingHub is independent. It is not the Alberta Energy Regulator, a government website, an oilfield operator, or a regulatory decision system.

How Records Are Used

Public records are organized into fields that support research workflows: well identifiers, operator references, status labels, locations, activity signals, watchlist entries, saved searches, notes, and export-ready summaries. The application is designed to help users review and organize information before outreach or planning.

FracturingHub does not treat a public record as proof that work is available. A record can help identify something worth reviewing, but users must verify current status, operator responsibility, regulatory context, access conditions, and project scope with official sources before making decisions.

Normalization Approach

The product normalizes records into searchable and exportable fields so that users can build watchlists, saved searches, opportunity packs, and CSV summaries. Normalization is intended to make research easier to review, not to replace source records or professional judgment.

  • Well and operator identifiers are preserved where available.
  • Status and location fields are used for filtering and prioritization.
  • User-added notes, tags, and saved searches are kept separate from source facts.
  • Opportunity scores and service angles are research aids, not factual findings.

Update Frequency

Public-source data can change at its origin. FracturingHub should be treated as a research workspace, not a real-time official registry. Unless a specific page states otherwise, users should assume records may be incomplete, delayed, or changed after import.

What Users Should Verify

  • Current well status and source-record date.
  • Current operator identity, ownership, or responsibility.
  • Regulatory requirements and official notices.
  • Location, access, safety, environmental, and field conditions.
  • Whether a service need, budget, tender, or buying intent actually exists.

Known Limitations

FracturingHub does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, service demand, contract availability, operator interest, regulatory outcomes, production outcomes, revenue, or lead quality. Public records can contain delays, omissions, revisions, ambiguous statuses, or context that is not visible in a normalized workspace.

Recommended Workflow

  2. Save relevant wells, operators, or signals to a focused watchlist.
